FAQ

Practical answers about licenses, updates, payments, and what a price on CodeMercio means.

Buying and licenses

Where do I find my downloads, invoice and license file?

Everything you bought lives under Account → My Purchases: the latest download, your license certificate and the invoice for each order. When the author ships an update, the item is marked there and you can download the new build for free.

What am I paying for?

The figure on an item is the license fee in USD, either regular or extended. You are paying for the right to use that version of the script in one end product, plus the updates the author ships for it. You are not buying the copyright.

How do I pay, and is my card stored?

Checkout is handled by our payment providers (card payments through Stripe, or PayPal). CodeMercio never sees or stores your full card number. After payment, your files appear under Account → Purchases and you receive a receipt by email.

Can I use a script in a client project?

Yes, under the regular license, when the project is one delivery for one client. If you will sell that same build to more customers, or the client will sell it on, you need the extended license. When in doubt, read the item's license notes and the licenses page before you install it on a second domain.

Can I get a refund?

Digital products are generally final once downloaded, but we refund broken, misdescribed or never-delivered items within the window set out in the refund policy.

What should I check before I choose a script?

Compatibility first: the PHP, WordPress, Laravel, or mobile versions it names. Then the changelog, then whether the feature list matches the job rather than a category. The blog has a longer note on choosing a script.

Updates and support

How do updates work?

Each listing has a version and a last-updated date. The changelog says what changed. An update can be a security fix or a breaking change in the same sentence, so read it on a staging copy before you replace a live install. A listing that has been quiet for a long time is a fact, not a hidden badge: budget time to replace it if you need a platform it no longer matches.

Who answers support questions?

The author of the item. CodeMercio is the marketplace. If a listing does not say how the author handles support, assume you are buying the code and the changelog, not a retainer. Questions about the license itself can come through the contact page.

Why are some items without reviews?

A review is published only when a buyer wrote one and it was approved. An empty review section is an empty review section. Sales count and the changelog are the other public signals, and neither replaces reading the compatibility line.

Selling

What is the platform fee for sellers?

CodeMercio keeps a commission on each paid sale: 30% by default. Sellers earn the rest. The rate is recorded on the order when it is placed, so later changes never rewrite past sales. Payouts are requested from the seller area and reviewed by staff before they are paid. See the seller terms.

Can I sell my own scripts here?

Any verified buyer can become a seller by listing a script. Submissions are reviewed before they go public. Sellers track earnings and request payouts from the seller area. Questions? Use the contact form.
